K Jacques

So excited it's just about warm enough to pull some sandals out. For me that would definitely be my favorite pair of K Jacques. Family-run business K Jacques has been creating sandals in St. Tropez since 1933. I bought the Epicure style a year ago in a gold metallic color. They are a bit pricey but I swear it's probably the only shoe I wore the entire summer! They go with everything. A good investment indeed! They've definitely still got some life left and I will be packing them for Spring Break next week. I would however love another pair before I destroy them all together. I've got my eye on this pair in a subtle metallic sheen color. Many of their styles can be found on shopbop.com, net-a-porter.com and forwardforward.com.

Clare Vivier

A whirlwind week it has been but I finally managed to squeeze in a trip to Silver Lake to visit the Clare Vivier boutique. It was really more of a side trip after hunting for fabric in downtown Los Angeles. My sweet friend Diana was a real trooper to accompany me after already spending several hours looking for the best price on white cotton twill. I drive a hard bargain! Anyway I was definitely not disappointed. Clare Vivier has a website with online shopping but it was so much more fun to see the collection in person. Clare's bags are locally made in good old Los Angeles. The quality and craftsmanship is unsurpassed. No logos just great style. Many of them can be monogrammed for a small fee. I think I found about five different styles that I was dying to take home. My wish list just got a little longer....

My Latest Obsession

I almost hate to share this one before I am done choosing a few items from their spring collection but since I am SO generous I'll let the cat out the bag. Emerson Fry formerly Emersonmade is the clothing line brought to us by designer Emerson Bethany Fry and her husband/business partner Ryan Fry. A little preppy, a little boho and a dash of tomboy -  Emerson Fry has developed quite a loyal following. So loyal in fact that when the Spring Collection premiered online last week the website crashed due to all the impatient fashionistas (like me) trying to get there first. If only I could have the whole collection...sigh. For now I will have to settle for the Pull Tab Skirt in Leopard, the Emerson Skinny Straights in Ivory, the A-Line Mod Top in Ivory (perfect for a summer soiree) and the Big Stud Belt. My leopard skirt arrived Friday in the most beautiful blue box. It's a gorgeous heavy weight linen fabric and fits perfect. It will be a summer staple! Get it while it's hot!
